LEXINGTON Eugene Standford Red Cooper, 78, of South N.C. Highway 150, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his residence after several years of declining health. Mr. Cooper was born on Feb. 3, 1930, in Davidson County to Russell Cooper and Marth Tesh Cooper. He was a retired Manager of a Pit Stop Convenience Store and was a member of Churchland Baptist Church and the Woomen of the World. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Churchland Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Howell IV officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be directed to Churchland Baptist Church, 7516 South N.C. Emmal Lou Fraylick THOMASVILLE Emma Lou Jarvis Bass Fraylick, 99, went home to be with her Lord while in the loving arms of her family at the home of her granddaughter, Marsha Lou Bolen, on Thursday, June 5, 2008. She was born on Aug. 16, 2008. Her death will not be mourned because her life was full and blessed. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Billy G. Bass of Rockville, Md. and Mr. Theodore Ted Bass Sr. of Thomasville; a daughter, Ms. Kandye K. Bass Matthews of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial service will be held at Park Place Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Family members will greet well wishers Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Park Place Baptist Church, which is located at 210 Kern St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Park Place Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Mr. Hill was born on Feb. 26, 1945, in Davidson County to Elwood and Vellie Hill Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a medic in the Vietnam War. He last worked at Council Craftsman as a Carver. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Walters Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors by Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Vellie Hill on Old Highway 109 in Lexington. She was born on March 10, 1929, in Davidson County to Henry Lee McGee and Mary Hedrick McGee. She retired from G & M Floor Covering and was a member of Hillside Park Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Dr. Steve Chipps and the Rev. Donnie Lunsford officiating. Archie Lowe Snider LINWOOD Archie Lowe Snider, 79, of Will Snider Road, in the Churchland Community, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home.
