LEXINGTON — Odell Marshall “Buster” Craver, 84, died June 18, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point after an illness of two months. He had been in declining health for the past four years. Born in Midway Township on May 12, 1924, to Emory Lewis and Hethie Berrier Craver, he served his country in the U.S. Army, a veteran of World War II.
Funeral service will be held today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Fitzgerald and the Rev. Fran Moran officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in High Point or to the charity of choice. Sharon L. Easter
LEXINGTON — Sharon Lanier Easter, 58, of Westwood Land, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at her home.
Born Jan. 30, 1950, in Davidson County, she was formerly employed at The Dispatch and owned and operated Me-Maws Nursery.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Tyro United Methodist Church with the Revs. Randy Foster and Gary Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tyro United Methodist Church of Hospice of Davidson County.

Neil C. Evans Sr.
LEXINGTON — Neil C. Evans Sr., 84, of Lexington, died Thursday, June 19, 2008.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p .m. Sunday at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, with a graveside service following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church after the service.

Joseph S. Hicks
WHITEVILLE, N.C. — Mr. Joseph Scott Hicks, 38, a resident of Kings Road, Whiteville, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Guilford County on May 19, 1970, a son of the late Edward Hicks and Mary Ellen Kindley Ginn.
Graveside service was held June 19, 2008, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Trinity with the Rev. Karen Smith officiating.

Joshua C. Hoskins
The Rev. Joshua Caleb Hoskins, 80, former resident of Bish Court, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Hospice Home in High Point. Joshua Caleb Hoskins was born April 28, 1928, to the late Eugene H. and Betty Lewis Hoskins in Davidson County. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and is a Korean Conflict Veteran. He served his community and surrounding communities well. He was formerly Associate Minister of Scales Memorial Chapel in Winston-Salem, on the board of E.H.M.A., Evangelists for Truckers of Christ in Greensboro, had a prison ministry, and preached to whoever would or would not listen. His parents and wife, Mollie Lewis Hoskins, preceded him in death.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Terrence Pete Hoskins (Carolyn) and Ear Hoskins (Pam), all of New Jersey; four daughters, Veronica Graham (Vincent) of New Jersey, Tracey McKinnon (Vernon) of Fayetteville, N.C., Denise Hoskins of New Jersey, and Teresa Billie of Thomasville; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Creola Hoover of Maryland and Nancy Wall of Mayodan, N.C.; very devoted caregivers Andre and Tonya Perkins; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at Cornerstone Church of Christ, 1102 Short St., Thomasville, N.C., with Apostle James Carter officiating and the Rev. Edgar Waters, eulogist. Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C. Family visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Haizlip Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the residence of Mrs. Teresa Billie, 416 E. Holly Hill Road, Thomasville.

Lenni L. McDaniel
Mrs. Lenni Lee McDaniel, 53, a resident of 352 Underwood Drive, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2008, at her home. Born in Princeton, N.J. on June 20, 1954, to Leonard and Nancy Adams Homan, she had made her home in the area for the past 13 years, moving from Blackstone, Va. She was the manager for Kelly’s Rental Store and was a May 2008 graduate of Guilford College. She was an active, enthusiastic member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Her interests were many, but she particularly enjoyed kayaking, coaching softball and reading, as well as fellowship times with her church family.
Surviving are her mother, Nancy Adams Homan of Lexington; daughter Niki McDaniel; her friend Jason Cubbage of Blackstone, Va.; son Carl Gavin McDaniel and his wife, Tara, of Burkeville, Va.; sisters Wendy Bloxton of Church Road, Va. and Valerie Jean Homan of Farmville, Va.; grandson Gavin Ross McDaniel, and a devoted family friend, Kathy Palmore of Thomasville.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church “Connection Place” with the Rev. Dr. E. Keith Carroll and the Rev. Ken Klein officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home. The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Mt. Linda G. Parker
Linda Gail Graves Parker, 38, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 27, 1969, in Guilford County to Mitchell L. Graves and Christine Cooke Batten.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Family Funeral Care Chapel with Pastor David Krause officiating.

Charles Dewitt “BO” Steele, 70, of 315 Winston St., died Thursday, June 19, 2008, in High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be held Monday, June 23, 2008, at 3 p.m. in St. John A.M.E. Zion Church. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service and other times at the home.
