LEXINGTON — William Glen Byerly, 80, of Reedy Creek Road in Lexington, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, in Forsyth Medical Center. Born July 17, 1927, in Davidson County, he was Co-owner and operator of Byerly Brothers Uses Cars since 1956 and he served his country in the U.S. Army, a veteran of World War II. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home. Richard Dobbins HIGH POINT — Richard Wayne Dobbins, 64, of High Point, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital. Mr. Peebles was born June 29, 1965, in High Point. He graduated from Ledford High School and received his B.S. in Economics from UNC at Greensboro. Dean was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, V.C. and Bessie Pope Tucker of Thomasville and his paternal grandparents, Howard and Creola Day of Kernersville. Surviving are his mother, Brenda Tucker Peebles and Larry Staley of Holden Beach; his father, Larry Charles Peebles and wife, Denise; one sister, Laurn, all of Forbush; aunts, Nina Allred and husband, Ron, of Kernersville, Hilda Bare and husband, Thomas, of Trinity, Brenda Allred and husband, Artie, of Winston-Salem; uncle, Curtis Lee Peebles and wife, Lisa, from Ohio; numerous cousins and special friend, Scott Tennant. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Joe Bare. Paul Wilson BRISTOL, TENN. — Mr. Paul Fletcher Wilson, 82, a former resident of Thomasville died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Wellmont Hospice House of Bristol Tennessee. He was born on Aug. 11, 1925, in Davidson County, N.C. to John Wilson and Kate Suggs Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Wilson was last employed with Thomasville Furniture Industries prior to moving to Tennessee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Gradie Grubb and Peggy Hill, also preceding him were three brothers: Robert Wilson, Clarence Wilson and Everette Wilson. Surviving are a sister Stella Owen and a brother Donald Wilson both of Thomasville, also surviving are four nieces and three nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Briggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the J.C. Green & Son Funeral Home.
